The Town of Whiteland is hosting a Community Clean Up Day for residents to safely dispose of yard waste, household junk, debris, and more—completely free of charge. It’s a great opportunity to declutter while helping keep the community clean and beautiful. Just remember: no paint, chemicals, or hazardous waste allowed! Drop off is Saturday, May 3rd from 8am-12pm at the Clark-Pleasant Bus Garage (999 N Front St, Whiteland).

Teen Book Picks: A Girl Scout Silver Award Project at West Perry Library
Dot from Girl Scout Troop 3111 is bringing a love of reading to life with her Book Talk Silver Award project at the West Perry Branch Library located at 6650 S Harding St, Indianapolis. She’s created a teen book recommendation display featuring titles suggested by teens from across the southside. The display launches Saturday afternoon and will be up through the first weekend in June. New recommendations are welcome, and the full list is also available online through Bibliocommons.
