Bargersville & SCSA to Break Ground on New Turf Field
The Town of Bargersville and South Central Soccer Academy (SCSA) have announced a major new project: a state-of-the-art turf soccer field set to open in late summer 2025. Thanks to a generous donation from The Huff Family, the new field will provide a durable, all-weather playing surface and is designed to support expanded training, league play, and tournament hosting. The facility will feature advanced drainage, lighting, and innovative infill to keep playing temperatures cooler. Town and SCSA leaders say the project represents a major step in supporting youth sports and community recreation in the region.
Last Call for Artists: Apply Now for Franklin’s 2025 Ethos Celebration of the Arts
The 2025 Ethos Celebration of the Arts is returning to Downtown Franklin on Saturday, June 28th from 10am to 4pm, and the final call for artist applications is this Sunday, June 15th. This juried festival will showcase 2D and 3D original works, with $3,500 in prizes awarded and booth spaces available for $100. Artists must be present during the event and will be automatically entered into judging. With live music, food, and drinks, it’s a vibrant day of art and community you won’t want to miss!
Weekend I-65 Closures Begin June 14
Drivers traveling along I-65 in southeast Indianapolis should prepare for weekend closures beginning June 14, as the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) completes drainage improvements. The closures will occur each weekend from Friday at 9pm through Monday at 5am, alternating between southbound and northbound lanes through late July. Entrance ramps between I-65/I-465 and I-65/I-70, including Keystone Avenue and Raymond Street, will also be closed during these times. Additionally, Hanna Avenue Bridge will close over I-65 on or after June 16 for structural work, with temporary lane restrictions possible. Click here for more specifics.
