Bargersville Approves Roundabout Project to Support Future Growth
The Bargersville Town Council approved a contract with CrossRoad Engineers to design a new roundabout at State Road 135, County Road 144, and Old Plank Road, replacing the existing stoplight. The $7.2 million project will be funded by the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), the Indianapolis Metropolitan Planning Organization (IMPO), and the town, with construction possibly beginning as early as 2027. The roundabout aims to improve traffic flow and safety, especially with large-scale residential and commercial developments like Pulte Iron Horse and Meadowbrook expected to bring thousands of new residents to the area. Additionally, town officials are planning a major redevelopment of the former Bargersville flea market site, which will further transform the community.
LOCAL BUSINESS
Former Jefferson Street Pub Ready for Lease in Downtown Franklin
After extensive renovations following storm damage in 2020, the former Jefferson Street Pub at 90 E. Jefferson St. in Franklin is now available for lease. The fully restored space features a historic carved wooden bar, exposed brick, and new kitchen equipment. The property owner is seeking a tenant who will offer an elevated dining experience rather than standard bar food, with hopes of adding a mid-priced steakhouse or similar concept to downtown Franklin.
