Somehow we blinked and weāre halfway through September. Wild. The to-do lists are long, the coffee is strong, and the calendar is packed with fall-ish everything. Letās ease into the week with optimism (and maybe a sweater in the car, just in case Indiana changes its mind by lunchtime).

Mark Your Calendar: Harvest Moon Fall Festival This Weekend in Bargersville
The Harvest Moon Fall Festival returns to downtown Bargersville this Saturday, September 20th from 12pm to 9pm! This fun-filled, family-friendly event will feature an artisan market, food trucks, face painting, balloon animals, a beer & wine garden, and a free concert at Umbarger Plaza. Perfect for all ages, itās one of Bargersvilleās biggest community events of the year. You donāt want to miss it!
Ivy Tech Launches Free STEM Workshops for Teens in Franklin & Columbus
Ivy Tech Community College is offering free, hands-on STEM workshops for high school students (ages 14ā18) through its new Green2Gold STEM Saturdays Innovation Series. The sessions cover exciting topics like drone aviation, 3D printing, electronics, and virtual reality with no experience needed! Workshops will take place on Saturdays at Ivy Tech campuses in Franklin and Columbus throughout the school year, starting September 20th. Space is limited, so students are encouraged to register soon at ivytech.edu/stemsaturdays.

Teresaās Hallmark to Close, New Boutique Coming Spring 2025
After 36 years in business, Teresaās Hallmark (49 N State Road 135, Greenwood) has announced it will close after Valentineās Day 2026 as owner Teresa prepares for retirement. But exciting changes are ahead: the 14,000-square-foot space will be transformed into Brianneās Boutique (currently located at 75 N State Road 135), led by Teresaās daughter, Sara. The new shop will feature apparel, gifts, and more, opening in Spring 2026. Stay tuned for an elevated shopping experience from a beloved local family!
Coffeehouse Five Reopens in Franklin
Coffeehouse Fiveās Franklin location (ā41 West Monroe) officially reopened on Saturday, September 13th after a small fire last week. While in-house roasting is still on pause until their new equipment arrives, the cafĆ© is once again serving customers. If you havenāt stopped by yet, swing in for your favorite drinks and treats.
Jamba and Auntie Anneās Coming Soon to Greenwood
A new sign at the corner of State Road 135 and Main Street in Greenwood reveals that Jamba and Auntie Anneās are coming soon to 201 S State Road 135 (previously known for American Mattress). Both brands are listed on the sign as part of the same location; a combo thatās already popped up in other cities across the country. I reached out to the companies and confirmed this will be an independently owned and operated franchise, but I wasnāt able to get a confirmed opening date from anyoneā¦yet. Iāll keep digging and let you know as soon as I find out when you can stop by for your next smoothie or pretzel fix!

High school football season officially kicked off this past Friday, bringing Friday night lights back to the Southside. Weāll be sharing a look at the upcoming games each Wednesday and then recapping scores every Monday so you donāt miss a play. Stay tuned all season long as we cheer on our local teams under those Friday night lights!
