Spreading Holiday Cheer: Help Support the GFD Toy Drive

The Greenwood Fire Department would like to thank everyone for their generous donations to the Children’s Holiday Season Outreach Toy Drive so far! Your support is helping bring joy to local kids and families by providing new toys and winter gear, spreading holiday cheer and warmth throughout the community. Donations are still being accepted until Saturday, December 21st. If you’d like to contribute, drop off new, unwrapped toys or winter gear at any Greenwood Fire Department station. Let’s rally together to make this season brighter for our community’s children!

Benge's Ace Hardware Opens in Franklin Township

Benge's Ace Hardware opened a new location at 6925 E Southport Rd in Franklin Township. The store is open daily from 8am-8pm and officially began welcoming customers this week. A grand opening celebration, featuring major prize giveaways, is planned for the first week of December—follow their Facebook page for more details!

Second Panda Express Coming to Greenwood

Plans for a new Panda Express near Greenwood Park Mall are moving forward after the Greenwood Advisory Plan Commission unanimously approved the development. The restaurant will be built on 0.867 acres south of JCPenney, near U.S. 31 and Greenwood Park Drive West. This will be the city’s second location, with the first on State Road 135.
