Variable Speed Limits Coming to the South Side

Heads up, Southside drivers! Variable speed limits are coming to I-465 on the southeast side of Indy starting on or after Tuesday, Sept. 10. INDOT will adjust speed limits in 5 mph increments based on real-time factors like traffic, weather, and construction zones.

You'll see new digital signs every half mile between I-65 and I-70, helping ease congestion and keep traffic flowing smoothly. Remember, police will be enforcing these new limits, so stay alert! This is all part of INDOT's push to improve traffic management with their "Transportation System Management Operations" plan. Safe travels!

Goddard School Applies for Rezoning in Bargersville

A plot of land, currently owned by Center Grove School Corporation, on the west end of Maple Grove, has been submitted to the town for a rezoning application.

If granted, the plot of land would become a Goddard School - a preschool and daycare center.

Shiloh’s Corner Update on Stones Crossing

Shiloh’s Corner - which will house Stone Creek Dining, Bru Burger, and more - is coming along nicely.

The mixed use space is on Stones Crossing, just east of 135.

Greenwood Sports Park Opens Today!

Greenwood’s new Sports Park features eight hybrid turf fields for baseball and softball, aiming to attract sports tourism and boost the local economy. The $10 million project will host tournaments and leagues.

Franklin’s First Fridays

Downtown Franklin is gearing up for First Fridays: Ladies' Night tonight, offering a night of late shopping, live music, and community fun. Attendees can explore local shops, enjoy free live performances from bands like Beautiful Ammunition, Hank Haggard, and The SuperChief Duo, and catch a screening of Rio Bravo at the Artcraft Theatre.

New businesses like Fruitful Frog Market & Organic Juicery will also be featured. It’s the perfect evening to experience all that Franklin has to offer with friends and family.

Indianapolis Oktoberfest 2024: Indy's Biggest German Party!

Join the German American Klub of Indianapolis for the city's largest German celebration: Indianapolis Oktoberfest 2024 at Historic German Park, celebrating its 50th year!
