Heads up, Johnson County! The Recycling District and Shares, Inc. are teaming up for a free document shredding event this Saturday, April 5th in Franklin. From 9am to noon, residents and businesses can drop off old papers to be safely shredded on-site at 900 Arvin Dr, Suite A, Franklin. It's a great way to do a little spring cleaning while protecting your personal info. No registration needed—just drive up and drop off!

Robotics State Finals at Center Grove High School This Weekend

Robotics enthusiasts, get ready! The 2025 FIRST Indiana State Championship is happening this weekend at Center Grove High School in Greenwood. From Thursday, April 3rd, to Saturday, April 5th, 38 teams from across Indiana will compete for a chance to advance to the international FIRST Championship. Southern Roots Gift Co. Facing Possible Closure After 5 Years

Southern Roots Gift Co. (located at 8142 E Southport Rd) has announced that due to staffing struggles and low sales, they may be closing their doors at the end of April. The shop has been part of the Franklin Township community for five years and is grateful for the support through personal and business challenges. The owners shared that this has been one of the hardest decisions they’ve ever had to make. They’re giving it one final month and are hopeful for a turnaround before making the decision to close. If you love their store or haven’t been yet, make sure to go show your support!
