THE DIGEST
Flea Market Site in Bargersville Set for Major Redevelopment
Big changes are coming to Bargersville, as the Redevelopment Commission has approved a proposal to transform the former flea market site at the corner of SR-135 and 144 into The Jefferson—a $59 million mixed-use development. Plans include approximately 255 multi-family units, 11,000 square feet of retail space, and community amenities like a clubhouse, dog park, pool, and multi-use trail. The project also features garage and surface parking, streetscape upgrades, and a $2.2 million stormwater facility. The agreement now heads to the town council for final approval, with construction anticipated to begin by August 1, 2026, if approved.
