Christmas Acres: Lighting the Way to End Hunger

Christmas Acres kicked off the season by donating an incredible 732 pounds of food to the Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County! With the pantry recently serving a record 320 families, the need is greater than ever—but this is just the beginning. The lights will stay on from 6–10pm nightly through New Year’s Eve, collecting even more donations to help provide food for those in need. They thank you for your generosity!

Warm Winter Drive at Frank’s Guitars

Frank Dean at Frank's Guitars (55 E Jefferson St, Franklin) is stepping up to help those in need this winter! He’s hosting a winter drive for the homeless and collecting items to keep folks warm during these chilly months. Drop off your donations in the bin outside the shop—coats, blankets, gloves, hats, or anything else that can make a difference. Let’s come together as a community and spread some warmth this season!

Greenwood Advisory Plan Commission Meeting

The Greenwood Advisory Plan Commission meets Monday, December 9, at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers. Key agenda items include a zoning change request for the Center Grove Park PUD, proposing a 90.7-acre mixed-use development on 3111 S. State Road 135 with residential, commercial, and green spaces. Public access is available via Zoom.
