Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Arrives in Central Indiana
Taylor Swift's Eras Tour arrives in Indianapolis for three sold-out shows Nov. 1-3 at Lucas Oil Stadium, drawing an estimated 200,000 fans and a massive economic boost to the city. Downtown will feature Taylor-themed events, food trucks, and themed street signs, with road closures and heavy police presence to manage safety. Visitors are advised to plan for traffic, high rideshare demand, and a clear bag policy at the stadium. 60,000 fans will pack the stadium each concert night while thousands more celebrate downtown.
Bargersville Fire Department Release Winter Safety Tips
As winter approaches, Bargersville firefighters urge homeowners to guard against seasonal fire hazards. Key tips include inspecting heating systems, checking smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and maintaining fireplaces and chimneys. Fire officials also advise using caution with holiday decorations, candles, and keeping flammable items clear of heat sources. Establishing a family escape plan is also essential for safety.
Johnson County Commissioners Seeking 14 Open Board Seat Applicants
The Johnson County Commissioners are seeking applicants for 14 county boards, with terms starting January 1, 2025. Interested residents can apply by submitting a Board Appointment Interest Form on the county’s website by October 31. Openings range from fire protection districts to the Alcohol Beverage Commission and require varying qualifications.

Franklin Chamber Seeking Holiday Parade Participants
The Franklin Chamber of Commerce is inviting participants for the Lighted Holiday Parade on December 7 at 5:30 p.m., part of the Downtown Holiday Lighting event. Registration is open until November 27, with details available at the Chamber office or online.

Bargersville Board of Zoning Appeals
The Bargersville Board of Zoning Appeals will review requests on Oct 28, including a special exception for Gospel Grove Church, a larger sign for Adamson Karate, and a front-yard structure for the Schooler Barn. They’ll also discuss 2025 meeting dates and a variance for Speicher Mini Lot 2 ADUs.
Greenwood Board of Zoning Appeals
The Greenwood Board of Zoning Appeals meeting on October 28, 2024, will address development variances, including setbacks and design standards for residential properties. Key items include requests for reduced lot widths, increased garage facades, and changes to exterior materials. Public attendance is available both in person and via Zoom.
