New Roundabout Connects Whiteland and Franklin, Boosting Growth and Traffic Flow
A new roundabout at Paul Hand Boulevard and Graham Road is nearing completion, connecting Whiteland and Franklin to improve traffic flow and drive economic growth in Johnson County. Jointly funded by Whiteland, Franklin, and Johnson County, this collaborative project will support local businesses and meet rising development demands. Local leaders view this project as a successful model of community cooperation that has already attracted major investments like Malarkeyâs $200 million project, bringing 200 jobs to the area. Completion is expected by Thanksgiving, promising smoother connectivity for residents and businesses.
Snap a Pic with Santa at Greenwood Park Mall
Santaâs coming to town! From November 7 through December 24, families can visit the Von Maur entrance at Greenwood Park Mall for photos with Santa, with times available on the mallâs website and options to reserve a spot. A pet-friendly photo session is set for December 1 from 6:30-7:30pm, allowing pets to join in the holiday fun. Additionally, a Caring Santa event on December 8 from 9-10:30am provides a sensory-friendly environment for children with special needs. Families attending Caring Santa should use entrance one and head to Von Maur Court.
Reservations Open for Greenwoodâs Annual Breakfast with Santa Event
Greenwood Parks and Recreation will host its Breakfast with Santa event on Saturday, December 14, offering families a festive holiday experience. The morning includes a hearty breakfast catered by Smokehouse BBQ, a chance for kids to decorate their own donuts, and a special photo opportunity with Santa Claus. The event has two seating options at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., with each table accommodating up to six guests, making it ideal for families and small groups. Reserve your table today!

Olive Branch Farm Plans New Community Gathering Center in Greenwood
Olive Branch Farm is developing "The Center at Olive Branch Farm," a community hub for Greenwood residents focused on learning, wellness, and connection. Set on 23 acres, the Center will offer a restaurant, cafĂŠ, bakery, gardens, and artisan shops, along with classes, nature trails, and performance spaces. Owners Josh and Sarah Brown envision the Center as a neighborhood space where families can gather, learn, and celebrate together.
To shape this vision, the Browns are inviting the community to a planning workshop with design experts from TPUDC. The Opening Presentation for the Olive Branch Farm community planning process will be held on Wednesday, November 6, at 6 p.m. at the Aberdeen Event Barn (5028 Abbeygate Blvd.).
