Bargersville Firefighters Rescue Kitten from Van’s Fuel Tank
In a purr-fect act of heroism, the Bargersville Fire Department sprang into action Wednesday to rescue a kitten stuck in the fuel tank of a Mister Quik Home Services van. The feline hitched a surprise ride all the way from Fishers before being discovered by a puzzled service tech. After hours of careful work and a team-up with Harter’s Auto Repair, crews safely removed the fuel tank and freed the frazzled furball. The kitten, now safe and adopted, is reportedly doing well—with eight lives still intact!

Ramp Closure & Lane Restrictions Coming to I-65
Heads up, Southside drivers - major changes are coming to I-65! Beginning Saturday, May 17th, the northbound I-65 exit ramp to Keystone Avenue will close for reconstruction and remain closed through late August. Also starting that day, I-65 will be reduced to two lanes in each direction between I-465 and the I-65/I-70 overpass as part of the long-term Safety and Efficiency Project. Expect lane restrictions through the end of 2026, along with a reduced speed limit of 45 mph in the work zone. INDOT encourages drivers to plan ahead, allow extra time, and consider alternate routes.
