Veterans Day 2024: Free Meals and Deals at Bubbaās 33 and More!
Bubbaās 33 is honoring veterans and active-duty military members with a free lunch on Veterans Day, November 11, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. For those unable to attend, raincheck vouchers will be available. Along with Bubbaās 33, more than 80 other restaurants nationwide are offering special discounts and free meals for veterans and active-duty military members, as highlighted in USA Today's roundup of 2024 deals.
Johnson County Receives $6.5 Million for Road and Bridge Improvements
Gov. Holcomb and INDOT announced that Johnson County communities will receive $6.5 million from the Community Crossings Matching Grant Program (CCMG) to improve roads and bridges. Established in 2016, CCMG helps strengthen local infrastructure by matching local funds for repairs. This year, Bargersville, Edinburgh, Franklin, Greenwood, and Johnson County were awarded grants ranging from $611,246 to $1.5 million.
Franklin Community Schools Realtor Breakfast Event
Franklin Community Schools is hosting a Realtor Breakfast on Tuesday, November 12, from 8:45 to 10 a.m. at Franklin Community High School. Local realtors are invited to explore the district's new website, learn about school achievements, and hear future plans. Franklin Big Lots Stays Open: Grand Re-Opening and Discounts Announced
Big Lots has announced that its Franklin location at 1538 N. Morton St. will remain open, reversing a previous plan to close it as part of the retailerās Chapter 11 bankruptcy process. This decision is part of Big Lots' restructuring to enhance the customer experience and market presence. The change was influenced by strong community support, including a petition started by a local employee. In celebration, the store plans a grand re-opening event, with a 20% discount for BIG Rewards members for the next two weeks and expanded discounts across departments.
