Just a quick heads up: there won’t be a newsletter on Monday, September 1st. I’m taking the day off to soak up the long weekend (and it looks like the calendar is pretty quiet on Monday and Tuesday anyway!). We’ll be back with your regular scoop later in the week to keep you in the loop on all the fun happening around the South Side!

Last Chance for Devour Indy Summerfest

Devour Indy Summerfest wraps up this Sunday, August 31st so don’t miss your chance to enjoy exclusive, multi-course menus at special prices! Southside favorites like BRU Burger Bar, Parkside Public House, Pizza & Libations, Stone Creek Dining Company, Taxman Bargersville, Ten Cuts Brazilian Steakhouse, and Up Cellar are all part of the lineup. Big Crowd Expected for Greenwood Happy Haunts’ 3rd Anniversary

Greenwood Happy Haunts is celebrating its 3rd anniversary in a big way with a vendor event on Saturday, August 30th from 11am–5pm at 248 Market Plaza. The celebration will bring together local vendors, unique finds, and plenty of community fun and judging by the huge buzz on Facebook, it’s shaping up to be one of the most popular weekend events in Greenwood. Shoppers can browse, mingle, and enjoy the festive atmosphere while supporting small businesses.

Storybook Play Cafe | 1001 N State Rd 135 Unit B3, Greenwood,

We visited Storybook Play Café this week and it’s such a fun spot for little ones (recommended for ages 8 and under). My 3.5- and 1-year-old loved the creative play areas while I enjoyed an amazing Top Hat Latte. The space is small but packed with activities, has plenty of tables, super friendly staff, and the Disney soundtrack added to the magic! Heads up: kids need grippy socks, no outside food or drinks, and admission is $11.99 per child. They also offer snacks, drinks, and rotating events like Toddler Time and bracelet making (follow them on Facebook for the latest updates). Highly recommend if your littles need new scenery (and you need a peaceful coffee break)!
