Discover what's happening in Greenwood, Center Grove, Franklin, Bargersville, and beyond this week!

TOGETHER WITH

Well, well, well... if it isn’t Monday again.

March is packing its bags, April is peeking around the corner with a prank or two, and here we are—caffeinated, slightly confused by the weather, and pretending we didn’t eat dessert for breakfast. (No judgment. Coffee cake is technically both.)

As we wave goodbye to the month that brought us both spring sunshine and rogue snowflakes, let’s dive into what’s happening around town this week—no foolin’.

In today’s South Side Scoop:

  • šŸŽ¶ Big Congrats to FC's Mr. Yoder: Jared Yoder is this month's Golden Apple Award winner!

  • 🚧 Heads-Up for Drivers: I-69 Finish Line construction means lane shifts and closures this spring.

  • ā˜•ļø Fresh Pots 2.0 is Brewing: Beloved Greenwood coffee spot is moving to a new, bigger home on Madison Ave.

Let’s get to it!

THE DIGEST

Big Congratulations to Franklin Central’s Jared Yoder!

Franklin Central High School’s choir director, Jared Yoder, has been named WISH-TV’s March Golden Apple Award winner! Known for his compassion, humor, and genuine investment in his students and colleagues, Yoder is making a lasting impact far beyond the music room. The award includes a $2,000 prize, a trophy, and more - but the biggest reward is the love and admiration from those he inspires every day. Way to go, Mr. Yoder!

Final I-69 Work Brings Lane Shifts and Closures

Minor construction continues this spring and summer as crews work to officially wrap up the I-69 Finish Line project. Lane closures and traffic shifts will impact parts of I-465 and I-69, but INDOT says disruptions should be minimal. Expect shifting lanes, shoulder work, and some ramp closures—especially eastbound I-465 from I-69 to U.S. 31 during overnight hours. Drivers are urged to stay alert and cautious in all active work zones. For more specifics on the construction details, visit https://i69finishline.com/.

LOCAL BUSINESS

Fresh Pots Is Brewing Up a Big Move

Fresh Pots 2.0 is on the way! The beloved local coffee spot in Greenwood has officially purchased a house at 50 N. Madison Avenue and is hard at work creating the same cozy, welcoming vibe we all know and love. They're aiming for a summer opening and plan to keep their Main Street location running as long as possible during the transition—only expecting a brief closure if needed to move big equipment. Even better? The new space will offer more seating, including outdoor spots to sip and stay awhile!
