THE DIGEST

Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive Returns Saturday, May 10th

The nation’s largest single-day food drive, Stamp Out Hunger, is happening Saturday, May 10th—rain or shine! Organized by letter carriers, this annual event invites residents to leave bags of healthy, non-perishable food by their mailboxes for pickup and delivery to local food pantries. With food insecurity on the rise and school meals on pause for summer, donations are especially vital for Hoosier families. Just fill a bag, set it out, and help make a big impact in your community. Thank you for helping spread the word!

LOCAL BUSINESS

From Start Line to Storefront: Race Day Finds at Beyond the Thrift

Local volunteer Scott Splichal with Changing Footprints, South Indy marked his 47th year serving on the 500 Festival Mini Marathon committee, working alongside longtime friend David Kesterson, a 33-year veteran. On race day, they collected runners’ discarded clothing from the start line, all of which was donated to Beyond the Thrift. Stop by the shop at 1211 N Madison Av in Greenwood—you might just score a race day shirt without having to run 13.1 miles!
