51st Annual Indianapolis Oktoberfest Hits German Park This Weekend

The 51st Annual Indianapolis Oktoberfest continues Friday and Saturday at German Park (8602 S Meridian St, Indianapolis) from 4–11pm. Admission is $5, and kids 12 and under are free. This southside tradition is filled with authentic German food, Paulaner Bier, dancing, and live music. Families can enjoy contests, kids’ activities, and plenty of fest favorites like schnitzels, wursts, and potato pancakes. It’s the perfect way to welcome fall with food, music, and gemütlichkeit right here on the southside!

Southport Park & Community Center Temporarily Closed

Southport Park and the Community Center will be closed for the next 45 days while crews rebuild the parking lot. The closure is necessary for public safety and to allow the project to move forward quickly. Updates on reopening will be shared on the City of Southport Police Department’s Facebook Page as soon as they are available. Thank you for your patience as these improvements are made for our community!

LOCAL BUSINESS

Main Street Vintage Grand Opening Friday

Main Street Vintage is officially opening its doors at 280 W Main Street in Old Town Greenwood this Friday, September 5th! Stop by from 5–8 PM (or later if the crowd keeps going) to explore a curated collection of vintage finds, workwear, antiques, and more. It’s the perfect chance to shop local, support a new small business, and celebrate Greenwood’s growing downtown community.

FEATURE FRIDAY

Fresh Pots | 50 N Madison Ave, Greenwood, IN 46142

Fresh Pots has officially moved into a brand-new space just down the road and it’s a beauty! The new location is much larger, with plenty of seating for coffee dates, study sessions, or remote workdays, while keeping the cozy vibe locals already loved. Parking is in the nearby public lots (not right next to the building), but it’s a quick walk and worth it once you’ve got their coffee and bagels in hand. Highly recommend checking out their new spot and supporting this South Side favorite!
