Quick confession: in Wednesday’s edition, I somehow managed to post a fundraiser event for Wednesday, September 29th instead of posting it on Monday (turns out I had my October calendar pulled up… classic mix-up 🙃). If you were confused, you weren’t alone. I never really know what day (or month) it is either. My apologies, and thank you for rolling with me. I promise I’m trying my best… though clearly I also need a lot more coffee.

The Greenwood Fire Department just got a big boost thanks to a $33,000 donation from Duke Energy. The funding allowed the department to purchase brand-new rope rescue equipment, enhancing their ability to respond to technical rescues across the community. Chief Jayme Washel shared that this support will make a lasting impact on the safety of Greenwood’s citizens, workers, and visitors. A big thank-you to Duke Energy for helping keep our community safer and stronger!
