Let’s kick off the week with cozy vibes, clear plans, and a healthy respect for unpredictable Indiana weather.

In today’s South Side Scoop:

  • ✏️ Fall break is officially here: Perry, Southport, Franklin Central & Whiteland are out for two weeks, while others follow next week.

  • 🍂 Leaf pickup season begins: Greenwood starts this week, and Bargersville kicks off Oct. 20 with curbside collection through Dec. 10.

  • Roncalli: Also starts today, but students will be out for one week only.

Leaf Pickup Season Has Begun

Greenwood’s curbside leaf collection officially begins today, Monday, October 6th, and Bargersville’s service will start Monday, October 20th, running through December 10th. Bargersville residents can find their neighborhood’s pickup day on the town website, with Mondays through Wednesdays scheduled by area and Thursdays and Fridays reserved for large-volume pickups or weather delays. To help crews out, place leaves in loose piles along the curb (not in the street or near storm drains), avoid bagging them, and keep vehicles clear of leaf piles on pickup days.

SPORTS

Each Monday we’ll share the latest scores so you can see how our local teams stacked up over the weekend. Then on Wednesdays, look out for the upcoming matchups so you don’t miss a game!
