Greenwood Fire Dept. 'Push-In' Ceremony for New High-Tech Tiller Truck

The Greenwood Fire Department (GFD) is hosting a "Push-In" ceremony this Friday, October 4 at 1 p.m. for their new Seagrave tractor-drawn Tiller truck at Station 91. This impressive truck features a 100-foot ladder and state-of-the-art rescue equipment, consolidating tools that were previously spread across multiple vehicles. The unique Tiller design includes two drivers, allowing for better maneuverability in tight spaces. The "Push-In" tradition dates back to the days of horse-drawn fire apparatus and symbolizes officially putting the truck into service. The event celebrates community and city officials' shared commitment to public safety.

Indy All Stars South Opening in November

Indy All Stars South, a top-tier dance studio, is opening in Center Grove! This new facility will offer high-quality dance training led by coaches with collegiate and professional dance experience. The studio is owned by Katie James, a former pro dancer with nearly ten years of involvement in the local dance scene. Known for coaching dancers onto prestigious teams, Katie’s leadership promises to take local dancers to new heights.

Greenwood Village South Breaks Ground on $100M Senior Living Expansion

Greenwood Village South has kicked off a $100 million expansion, aiming to bring cutting-edge amenities to its senior living community in Greenwood, Indiana. The project, starting with a new entrance on Apryl Drive, is set to finish by November 2024. Future additions include new independent living, assisted living, and memory care residences, along with amenities like a clubhouse, wellness center, indoor pool, and spa. The expansion will enhance the community’s 60-year legacy of providing engaging senior living experiences for its residents.

Interchurch Food Pantry Harvest Walk

Join the annual Harvest Walk at Grace United Methodist Church in Franklin! Choose between a 1-mile accessible walk or a 3-mile route featuring the Franklin trail and Franklin College. Check-in starts at 3:00 p.m., with the walk kicking off at 3:30 p.m. (new times!).

Donations are $25 per person or $40 per family, with proceeds supporting the Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County. Stick around for a post-walk concert at 4:15 p.m. Parking is available on the east side of the church. Come walk for a great cause and enjoy the fun!
