Wild Eggs Opens in Greenwood with Ribbon-Cutting Celebration
Wild Eggs, a contemporary breakfast, brunch, and lunch restaurant, opened its newest location at 1279 N. Emerson Ave. in Greenwood on Sunday. To celebrate, a ribbon-cutting ceremony with free menu samples and giveaways for the first 50 guests will be held today, Monday, January 20, at 9 am. This is Wild Eggsâ seventh Indiana location. Red Dog Books Closing Its Current Location
After eight years, Red Dog Books (located at 1001 N State Rd 135 in Greenwood) has announced the closure of its current location. The store is raising funds and searching for a new, more affordable space to continue its mission of offering low-cost books, community support, and nonprofit partnerships. A GoFundMe has been launched to help cover moving costs and employee support, and customers are encouraged to visit the store, make purchases, and share the news. While the closure is bittersweet, Red Dog Books remains optimistic about its next chapter and is seeking help from the community to bring it to life.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Celebration Lecture
Join Franklin College for a free lecture, âThen and Now - Whatâs Different?â, with Rev. Sharon Washington Risher. After losing her mother and loved ones in the 2015 Charleston church massacre, she became an advocate for gun safety and author of For Such a Time as This. Hear her powerful story and how the tragedy and Dr. Kingâs legacy have shaped her journey. This event is free and open to the public.
