TOGETHER WITH
Happy Friday, neighbors! We did it—we survived another week of winter’s personal vendetta against our happiness. If you’ve spent the last few days contemplating whether you actually need groceries or if you can survive on stale crackers and a questionable can of beans, you’re not alone.
At this point, we’re all just one frozen windshield away from giving up and embracing hibernation. But hang in there! The weekend is almost here, and rumor has it the sun still exists (somewhere). So bundle up, keep the coffee flowing, and may your car actually start on the first try.
In today’s South Side Scoop:
🎬 Franklin’s Family Movie Series Returns: Free outdoor movies are coming back, featuring Angels in the Outfield, Inside Out 2, and more—mark your calendars!
🍩 New & Tasty Openings: Iozzo’s on Jefferson brings classic Italian to Franklin, and Parlor Doughnuts is celebrating its grand opening this weekend with FREE doughnuts!
📆 Something for Everyone: Whether you're into live music, family activities, local markets, or community fundraisers, there’s plenty to explore and enjoy this weekend!
Let’s get to it!

Additionally, Johnson County will receive funding to install 36 solar-powered school zone flashers at 13 schools, enhancing safety for students and drivers. These projects reflect a commitment to meeting the region’s growing transportation needs while prioritizing community impact and long-term sustainability.
