Heroic Rescue: Bargersville Fire Department Saves Trapped Cat
Bargersville Firefighters and Johnson County Community Cats (JCCC) teamed up to rescue a cat trapped for six days between a home’s foundation and patio. Crews from Engine 202 and Rescue 201 broke through the concrete to free the scared but healthy feline. The cat, though underweight and dehydrated, is now safe and receiving care, including fluids, a cozy blanket, and veterinary attention. JCCC, a volunteer-run cat rescue and TNR program, praised the swift and compassionate efforts of the firefighters, calling them true heroes for their dedication and kindness.
Holiday Magic Awaits at Kelsay Farms
Kelsay Farms in Whiteland, Indiana, is transforming into a holiday wonderland this December! Families can stroll through over 50 Christmas-themed backdrops, sip hot cocoa by the campfires, and even step inside a giant inflatable snow globe for festive photos. Santa will make appearances from 7-8pm on Saturdays and Sundays, adding extra holiday cheer. Tickets are $8, and the farm is open 5:30-9pm Friday through Sunday, with nightly hours from December 18-23. It’s a perfect spot to bundle up, relax, and make magical memories with your loved ones!

Bring Holiday Joy with the Christmas Angels Program
The United Way of Johnson County is seeking community support for its Christmas Angels program, which provides gifts for children in need, from newborns to 17-year-olds. Donors can sponsor a family or contribute toys and items for the Angel Tree Store, where unsponsored children can choose gifts in mid-December. To get involved, visit their website to learn more and help make the holidays brighter for local kids!
Start Here Open House: Shop Small and Win Big
Kick off “Small Business Saturday” at the Franklin Chamber of Commerce’s 12th annual Start Here Open House! The first 100 attendees will receive “Chamber Cash,” plus free coffee and donuts to fuel your shopping day at Franklin’s small businesses. Join the fun this Saturday, November 30, from 10 am to noon, and support local shops while enjoying some extra perks!

From there, he’ll visit Morningside, Saddle Club North, Saddle Club South, and end in Sawyer Walk, where he’ll disembark at the model home for visits.
