Book Vending Machines Bring Free Reads to Greenwood Elementary Schools

Williams Comfort Air and Mr. Plumber have donated book vending machines to all four Greenwood Community School Corporation elementary schools: Isom, Northeast, Southwest, and Westwood. Each machine is stocked with enough free books for every elementary student to take home at least one during the 2025–2026 school year and beyond. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held yesterday, August 12th, at Southwest Elementary to celebrate the first machine, with school leaders and company representatives in attendance. The initiative aims to boost literacy and spark a lifelong love of reading by giving students the fun experience of selecting their own book to keep.
