South siders, get ready for those school zone speed limits to fire back up, as class is in session!
Today Greenwood, Whiteland, Southport, and Perry all went back to class. Tomorrow, Center Grove will be heading back.
Our friends at Franklin get a later start with next Wednesday, August 7th as the first day.
Shout out to the parents & kids starting new routines this week - we know it’s never easy.
Free Breakfast & Lunch for Greenwood Schools
On Saturday, Greenwood Community Schools shared that for the upcoming school year, all students in Greenwood Community Schools will be provided with a free breakfast and lunch.
The free meals are made possible after Greenwood Schools applied and qualified for the Community Eligibility Provision in partnership wit the USDA and Indiana Department of Education.
Families are not required to take any further action for the free meals.

Johnson County Senior Services Needs Help
The pantry at Johnson County Senior Services is running low, and they're serving some of the most vulnerable folks in the county.
Next time you're at the grocery store or ordering from Amazon, consider adding an extra can of soup, beans, pasta sauce, or any non-perishable items to your cart. Every donation makes a positive difference!

Utah-Based Soda Chain, Swig, Coming to Town
Swig, a soda chain known for its ‘dirty sodas’, which are sodas mixed with flavorings, creams, and other ingredients, is coming to the south side.
This south side location will be near the northeast corner of Emerson and County Line near the Kroger shopping center. The official address is 5145 Noggle Way, Indianapolis, IN 46237.
There is no timetable on when the soda chain will open, their website says ‘Coming Soon.’

Seven Brew Coffee’s Community Hours
Don’t forget, Seven Brew Coffee officially opened its doors to the south side on 135. This week, they’re hosting ‘Community Hours’ in which you get a free small drink. Today through Friday, these community hours are:
