Bargersville is launching a new Municipal Arts and Culture Commission and is looking for passionate residents to join the board! This group will help shape the town’s public art, cultural development, and creative initiatives. Interested applicants need to submit an application, resume, and a brief letter of interest by August 30, 2025. Applications and more details are available on the town’s website.

Indiana State Fair Kicks Off This Weekend

The Indiana State Fair kicks off this weekend through August 17th, bringing all the big-city fair fun just a short drive from the south side! From delicious fair food and thrilling rides to livestock shows, concerts, and the famous giant cheese sculpture, there’s something for everyone. New Entertainment Venue in Greenwood Opens Friday

A new entertainment spot, Mad Hatter Shows and Event Center, is opening its doors in Greenwood at 916 E Main Street, bringing intimate, one-of-a-kind performances to the South Side. The venue kicks things off in a big way on August 1st with an evening featuring John Schneider, best known for his role on Dukes of Hazzard, performing an acoustic show of music and storytelling. This new space is designed for a close connection between performers and audience, promising unique entertainment experiences you won’t find just anywhere. Check out their future performers here!

2-Day Dixie Belle Furniture Painting Class

On Friday evening, you’ll learn all about prep and products, then spend Saturday painting, decorating, and sealing your piece. Each participant receives a small table, an 8oz paint color of their choice, and all the supplies needed to complete their project. Stop by The Shoppe or call 317-422-1522 to reserve your spot.
