Happy Thursday!

If you’ve stepped outside today, you already know: it’s so cold, even your coffee needs a coat. With arctic temps sticking around and possible snow on the way, consider this your official reminder to layer up, drive safely, and maybe just stay inside if you can. But if you are venturing out, I’ve got your weekend events lined up (frostbite not included).

In today’s South Side Scoop:

  • 🎓 Applications are open for the Otto Lewis Memorial Scholarship in Whiteland, and four Center Grove juniors were named Rising Stars of Indiana for their leadership and academic excellence.

  • 🎭 From comedy shows and theater to fishing expos, trivia, and family-friendly events, there’s no shortage of things to do despite the cold.

  • ❤️ Local schools, nonprofits, and small businesses continue to show up in big ways—supporting students, celebrating history, and bringing people together.
